Stephen Ross a corrupt 80 year-old; No Fun League

    Brian Flores worked his tail off to accomplish enough to become the second current black head football coach in a league dominated by black athletes; the other is Mike Tomlin. 

   Of this writing, even Tomlin isn't as respected as some of the white coaches in the NFL After one of his games, reporters asked about a college position that was opening or open. Let's just say he didn't like the insinuation behind the question.

    Flores is currently suing the NF, and 3 for accusations that in a that Miami Dolphins team owner, Stephen Ross paid him $100.000 for each game he would lose. It is not clear to me,  It is very clear to me that NFL needs to do all it can to relieve Mr. Ross ownership duties before the public loses trust in their favorite sport on television.  

    I'm afraid that the damage is so deep with Mr. Flores, he has cut ties with a league that is No Fun!

Ethics

 One cannot always be happy nor can they be in a good mood. As we in the United States begin to  celebrate Black history month, let's remember that each and every one has a responsibility to call out "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." - Martin Luther King

Focus on small gains!!

There's a saying that we've all heard, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Well no where is this statement truer than attaining happiness and especially during this time of Covid.

For example, I am in Lake Tahoe for 2 weeks and I adore my brother's dog. He will be here half the time I am but this brings me great joy and happiness.

 In a world dominated by headlines of doom and gloom in the newspapers, I have been searching for a way to find some happiness again in my life. I signed up for a humor class and am listening to stand up comedians everyday.

Iowa is Too Early

Some people make a living covering politics, constantly criticizing the other side, and all of its affiliates but most of us prefer to rally toward a common interest such as music or sports.

The voting for the the Iowa Caucuses is on February 3, 2020. Not only could a whole lot of impeachment news be happening, but also, it's day after historic NFL ratings commence with a champion in the super bowl.

I can see why Bernie Sanders is dominating the polling right now. His young, inexperienced supporters who believe that everything is rigged against them are bound to show up at his caucus. This message was the same one that Trump propagated through hate.  Trump loves Bernie because Sanders's message is divisive and will leave enough democratic voters at home for Trump to be elected for another 4 years.

This is my early doomsday scenario.

Who I Am Politically

I am writing this first blog posting not only to introduce myself to you, the readers, but also to test the waters to see whether or not my observations are similar to yours.  First off, while the economy especially the stock market has been performing like gangbusters our President has put a lot of others through a lot of harm.

He also uses hatred by emboldening white supremacy, using Twitter to attack Jews, Mexicans, Muslims and many other minorities as well as caused lots of uncertainty for our farmers with his un-called-for trade wars and de-humanizing treatment toward women.  He uses his lawyers to pay off his mistresses and has been quoted as say it's okay to "grab women by the pussy." He claims to promote "family values" all while "coveting thy neighbors wife."

In my opinion, if the United States is a shining beacon morality belongs back in the White House.

Where do I fit politically? I'm a centrist. Our government needs to spend less money on trivial things and do more with great ideas. I do believe climate change is the issue of our time.

Right now, I do not really have a party. Actually, I have always been an Independent.
